Route: Paisley Canal (reverse)
Time Run: 38mins 11secs
We have all sorts of weather today including a bit of snow which had no chance of sticking. But by the time I went out for an easy 5 mile run it was dry and the sun was trying to come out. I had planned an easy run today with Saturday’s long run in mind. I also wanted to try out my skins before Saturday. They felt fine but we’ll see if they make any difference on Saturday.
I ran well within myself and didn’t look at my watch at all until the end.
So tomorrow will be a rest day before Saturday. The plan I’d like to follow for me will be
to start running by 9.30am from Drymen
arrive Balmaha about 11am (1hr 30mins – including 5min rest)
arrive Rowardennan about 12.30pm (1hr 30mins) + 5min rest
arrive Inversnaid about 2.05pm (1hr 30mins) + 10min rest
arrive Beinglas Farm about 3.45pm (1hr 30mins)
That would be roughly whw pace for that section. There are about 20 of us so some may well want to go a bit faster and others a bit slower but hopefully everyone will have someone to run with.
Last year I enouraged friends and family to send me a text along the way so if you want to encourage me during the run on Saturday send a text to 07905 218162
Unfortunately I was a bit out with my prediction of the Everton/Chelsea game. I got the 1 for Chelsea but Everton didn’t manage the 3!! Ah well there’s always the Eufa cup to play for and finishing ahead of Liverpool in 4th place.
