It had been very frosty all day today so I made sure I wrapped up warm for tonight’s run especially as I planned to run easy. One of things I learnt last year was to make sure I built in an easy week after my long run on the whw route. So this week is a planned easier week. It fits in well as I’m running the West District Cross Country at Irvine on Saturday.
As I took it easy I won’t give you my pace for each session! Donald wasn’t running tonight so Gordon and John McL were setting the pace and Stevie and I were following. I felt good and my legs were surprisingly strong. It was a bit slippy in places but no-one fell!
I ran 165 miles in November which I was pleased with.
Chris asked how my foot was yesterday. It is still not quite right and I could feel it most of the time but it doesn’t seem to get any worse and is definitely easier when I run off road. I have an appointment on Thursday at the RAH in Paisley for a rescan so hopefully they will be able to make up some new insoles for me that will do the trick. I’ll keep you posted in case you’re interested!
My head feels fine today though I did give some of the children I taught swimming to a bit of a shock. I asked them what they think happened to me? No-one guessed I slipped on ice and head butted the ground!
Tomorrow I’m off to Stiring in the afternoon to do some training with clubgolf which I’m looking forward to. There are three of us going from Active Schools so it will be good to get to know them better.
