Friday: Easy early morning run

Time: 6.10am
Route: Paisley Loop Run
Distance: 6.53miles
Time Run: 51mins 44secs (average pace – 7.56)

I have a few things on today including being busy over lunchtime so I decided to get up at 6am and go for my run at the start of the day. I used to do a lot more early morning runs and in some ways I miss the quiet and the feeling of getting up and out while most of the population are still in bed.

Anyway a good solid run with each mile getting quicker than the last. I’m encouraged by how quickly I’ve recovered from Sunday-Monday’s run. So three weeks today I’ll be heading down to North Yorkshire.

I posted my tribute to Dario on the forum. A number of photos that I had from over the past three years. I’ve encouraged others to send me their favourites and I’ll add them to the set on flickr. Have a look when you’ve time.

Murdo has given very clear instructions on how to find his tribute on the whw. He must think I’m a right idiot not being able to find it. Just look at this map taken from my garmin of me wandering round try to find his ‘hidden’ box!

Ah well at least I found it in the end!!

I have the first 6 guesses in for my ‘Guess My Time’ Competition including a first ever dnf prediction …. thanks Katrina!! Now if that doesn’t provide me with an incentive to finish I don’t know what will. Maybe that’s her plan as she won’t be there supporting me for this race.

Ha ha! I've always wanted to go for a DNF prediction, just for a laugh, but have never had the bottle… well done Katrina 🙂

  2. That's too funny. Now you cannot even consider a DNF! 🙂

  3. Thomas says:

Yeah, DNF I hear that a lot. But John, you can do this in 27:20.

    Good luck,
