Training Plan for Saintelyon Race

My final ultra of my 2009 challenge is the Saintelyon Ultra Marathon starting at midnight on Saturday 5th December which is 8 weeks on Saturday.

I have worked out an eight week training plan which hopefully will get me to the start line fit and ready for the race! Well that’s the theory anyway. To be honest I can’t wait to get running again. I’m planning an easy run on Saturday and then it will be back into it with the Club session on Monday.

I think this is the longest I’ve not run for over 3 years. I’ve had some breaks but mainly due to injury. I think this is the first time I’ve chosen not to run which does feel strange. I’m hoping that it will do me some good.

A number of friends and work colleagues have said they enjoyed watching the Adventure Show on Sunday. Someone on the whw forum has been able to put it on the web so anyone can watch from anywhere. So if you’ve not been able to see it yet now you can.

If you missed me on the show (and it wouldn’t be difficult!!) I thought I’d post a few photos to show I was there!!
