That felt good! Debs …. I REALLY enjoyed that run!

It was so good to be back running again after my self imposed two week break. I did miss running, as much for my thinking time as anything. A few people have asked me over the last few days whether I’m addicted to running, whether I could live without it.

I’m really not sure about the answer to that. I don’t feel I’m addicted. I can’t imagine going into withdrawal symptoms if I couldn’t run. But what I do know if that I really enjoy running. I love the feeling of pushing myself and the sense of accommplishment when I’ve finished. I enjoy making time to run and I enjoy the feeling of being tired after doing something worthwhile.

I enjoy being part of a group of runners and taking an interest in what others are doing and being able to run together.

I’m still not sure if that means I’m addicted to running but what I do know is that I want to keep running for as long as I can!

So my 8 week training plan starts on Monday with our club Fartlek session. I’ve not been on a Monday for ages so it will be good to get back. I wonder if I’ll be allowed to lead the session with my watch or whether someone else has taken my role??!!
