I set up this blog (Oct 06) to record my training and thoughts in preparing for the 2007 WHW Race – a 95 mile ultra race from Milngavie to Fort William.
I have now run 46 ultras over the past twelve years including the whw 6 times and you can read all about them, watch my race videos and lots more by using the tabs at the top of the blog.
If you want to contact me my email address is email@example.com

During the Easter holidays I’m running a sports club in one of my schools and it was good to see a good number coming along today despite the rain which continues to fall.
I left my bike at school and ran home in the rain. The White Cart River was really full and completely covered the pathway under the bridge meaning I had very wet feet. Anyway a good steady run home.
I mentioned a week or so ago that Stuart Mills has started a blog and already he has encouraged his readers to think differently about pacing which has been really helpful.
Today he responded to my comment from Friday about whether I should consider upping my weekly average by comparing his yearly totals with mine and drawing some conclusions. Well worth a read and I really appreciate Stuart’s input. It feels like I have my own personal coach!!
Mike Mason sent me a link to his photos from the recent Hardmoors race.
Here is one of me at Kildale (42miles) ….
