Latest books I’ve read

Another easy run into work this morning. The good thing about running to work is that I get two full days to rest before Sunday’s longer run on the whw with Debs and Sharon.
I’ve just finished a book by Pam Reed called ‘The Extra Mile’. Pam won the Badwater Ultra Race two years on the run and the book is about her running and the lessons she’s learnt along the way. It was a good read.

For my recent birthday Laura and Josh gave me a book, ‘The Running Man’ by Gilbert Tuhabonye. I’ve just started it. It is a really interesting book following Gilbert’s story from war torn Burundi to Olympic glory. I’ll post some more once I’ve read it.

    Hi John,

It's not really the same type of book as the ones you have described but have you read “What I Talk about When I Talk About Running” by Haruki Murakami?

He's my favourite author…usually writes really wierd short stories and some full length novels…but this book is about him running the route of the “original” marathon in Greece.

    A really good read!
