Plans for the next two weeks

My third easy run since the Fling. Another easy run but this time in the rain. Why didn’t it rain last Saturday? It would have been so much easier to run 53miles!

Now that the Fling is done and dusted my thoughts are very firmly centred on THE big race of the year …. the West Highland Way Race on Saturday 18th June.

It is now less than 6 weeks away. As much as I loved running the Cateran Trail Race which is superbly organised by Karen D I decided this year to go back to my tried and trusted plan of a two day training run on the whw four weeks before the race.
So this is my plan for the next two weeks …
This Wednesday we have our club 7mile handicap race which I enjoy doing. Then the focus is on the weekend of 21st/22nd May.
I’m running this with Ross and I’m really looking forward to it. 75miles over two days running from Balmaha to Fort William.
6.54miles in 50mins 42secs (7.46pace)

    Yep, I'm hoping for overcast conditions (and maybe even some drizzle) on 18 June! 🙂
