I’ve not been at the Club for five weeks as I’ve prepared for and then recovered from the Highland Fling.
So I was looking forward to going back tonight and catching up with friends and ‘enjoying’ a speed session.
It definitely was a speed session tonight with 4 sets of 1min 30sec, 2min 30sec and 3min 30sec. I was keen to push hard and see how the legs felt.
There weren’t many of us tonight so I was out on my own but I tried to work as hard as I could. My legs felt a bit heavy but I was pleased that I kept it going right through the session.

I wasn’t expecting to get anywhere near the 5miles so I was quite happy with that.
I’ll make sure I run a very easy recovery run tomorrow but our 7mile Club race on Wednesday.
