Guess My Time Competition

My 3rd ultra race of the year, the Ultimate Trails 100k, is coming up soon on Saturday 14th September so I thought it was time to open up my ‘traditional’ ‘Guess My Time’ competition.

All you need to do is guess in hours, minutes and seconds how long it will take me to run the 100k (62miles) race in the Lake District.

I think this is going to be tricky as I’ve not race the course before. Infact no-one has as it’s the first time it’s been held.

To give you an idea of what I’m aiming for I have set myself a bronze, silver and gold aim …

BRONZE: to complete the course
SILVER: sub 15hrs
GOLD: sub 14hrs

I’m not sure how realistic these are but I based it on the following …

My Fling Time this year was 10.06 for 53miles.  Add on 2hrs 30mins for the extra 10miles. Then add on another 1hr for the extra feet of climb involved and then another 30mins for the tougher terrain and that gives me 14hrs.

Anyway you can decide what you think is reasonable!

If you want to take part you will need to send me your guess by 12noon Friday 13th September by …
