In a couple of weeks Jonny and I are taking a group of school children for a walk on the Braes so I wanted to check out the route. Katrina was keen to join me so we ran together.
It was very wet and muddy so either the children will need to be wearing wellies or I’ll need to find an alternative route more on the paths!
This was my first off road run since the 100k in the Lakes and it was so good to be on the trails again. I wore my new Hoka Mafate’s. These are the original design but felt really comfy from the off. They also have a bit of mud on them now which is better. I never like the clean look!!
Last year Marco encouraged me to join Strava as a way of recording runs and challening myslef against others. I started uploading my runs on to it but lost interest after a while as I was also still using runningahead.
Then this week Matt Moroz suggested we start a ‘West Highland Way‘ Club so I’ve set it up and we already have 25 members. So if you want to join us you will be very welcome!
It’s a fun way of seeing what others in your ‘club’ are doing and there is the challenge of getting to the top of the podium each week!
Fo someone like me who loves the stats it is great!
