Hardmoors 30 Guess My Time Competition

With the Hardmoors 30 race just over 2 weeks away I thought it was time to open up my competition to ‘Guess My Time.’

For those unfamiliar with this competition …. I started it as a bit of fun before my first Ultra, Highland Fling, in April 2007 and it has become my tradition ever since!

So all you need to do is guess what time in hours, minutes and seconds you think it will take me to complete the Hardmoors 30 race on Wednesday 1st January 2014.

I’ve not run this race before so no history to gauge it by.  Last year the race was won in 4hrs 21mins and the slowest was 10hrs 12mins.

A lot will depend on the weather but I’d like to think, all things being even, I could be under 6hrs 30mins and if things go well under 6hrs but who knows!!

If you want to take part all you need to do is send me your guess by 12noon on Monday 30th December 2013 by …

  3. Kynon says:

All the best with the race John.

    My guess is: 6h:12m:24s.

  4. Norry says:

Hi John, Going with 5hrs 49mins See you down there 🙂

  5. I’m jealous not to be on the start line too, looks like a fun route. To provide an estimate I’ll assume that you will race as well as you did at the Lakeland 100k and that winners times from this race and the Hardmoor 30 are of equal quality gives us a time of 5 hrs 43 minutes.

As John Dinglested’s registered the same time twice above I’ll assume that you’ll now have to run it twice with a perfect even split. That will still be not much more mileage than half of the Harmoors 110 you’ll be doing later in the year so doing the double will just be great training 🙂
