Lunchtime Tempo Run

I was pleased when I realised I could run at lunchtime today and a bonus it was dry! Still pretty windy but after last night’s Conic Run I’d take dry. Plus it was light.

I like to do at least one faster session a week and since I’m not doing the club Fartlek sessions at the moment my midweek Tempo run is the fastest I run all week.

I decided to go off as hard as I could right from the start and see how long I could keep it going.  I felt good and concentrated on my breathing and counting up to 50 over and over. I find it helps me to keep a rhythm going.

I worked hard right to the end and I was really happy with my effort. Overall I was 6.54 pace for the 7.36miles so definitely a good Tempo run for me.  Plus my HR was 146 which shows I was working hard.
