I like to have a two week taper for my longer races. I find any more than that and I feel I’m going off the boil. Any less than that and I don’t feel recovered enough. So two weeks feels just right.
I also like to run every other day for that two weeks so my plan for the next two weeks is …
Today I went for an easy run at lunchtime on my regular loop around Pollok Park. I saw quite a few runners out today which is good. The warm weather must have brought them out!
I didn’t look at my watch and just tried to make sure I was running smoothly without breathing too hard.
So just 4 runs to do to complete my training for the Hardmoors 110. I’ve also got some non-running preparation to do such as finalising my gear, food and making sure I know the route.
