Very windy on the Braes

I was up and out by 7am this morning for my second run of the weekend on the Gleniffer Braes. This time I was on my own as Steven was running in the John Lucas ultra as part of a relay team from Kilbarchan.

I started off in my OMM jacket but it soon came off as it wasn’t raining and not too cold. I attached it to the back of my pack with my hat in case I needed to put it back on quickly.  It was annoying me as it was banging my elbow as I ran.

So I tried again and found a way to store it without it annoying me.  These final runs are always good to sort out any issues before the race.

The wind was really strong up on the top and it was fairly hard work running west on my loop but a lot easier with the wind behind me going the other way!!

I ran the same 16miles as last Sunday when it was very wet and I was 3mins faster this week. I’m feeling good and really looking forward to the Grand Tour of Skiddaw race next Saturday.

I have 21 guesses for my latest ‘Guess Our Time’ Competition.  Remember if you want to take part you’ll need to send me your guess by Thursday 9pm.

I’m still ahead of my target for running 2014 miles in 2014.  I’ve now run 1,501.08 miles ….

2014 miles 17 aug
