My first easy run since Sunday morning. I always feel very cautious on my first run after an ultra. I feel over sensitive to any ache or pain but I’m glad to report everything was fine, no niggles or anything so that’s great news.
For those interested in such things here are a few files to look at regarding the Saintelyon Race….
I downloaded the route to Everytrail
I copied the Official results from the web site onto an excel spreadsheet
I worked out the splits for John McL, Chris & Seb, the relay team and mine
I’m planning another easy run on Saturday and then back to some speed sessions next week as we have our Kilbarchan Christmas races to come. I have 6 races planned in the next few weeks. The first four are our clubs races …
Monday 21st December 2009 - Christmas Handicap Race
(4.2miles around Johnstone)
Saturday 26th December 2009 - Club Relay Race
(0.75mile circuit around Kilbarchan Park - children 1 lap, adults 2 laps)
Sunday 27th December 2009 - Marshall Moor Race
(Cross Country Run from Kilbarchan to trig point on Marshall & back - about 7.5miles)
Thursday 31st December 2009 - Donald Crawford Handicap Race
(a hilly 11mile circular route from Kilbarchan Pavilion)
Saturday 2nd January 2010 - Pollok Park Run
(5k around Pollok Park)
Saturday 9th January 2010 - Nigel Barge 10k
(10k in Glasgow)
So that should keep me busy for the Christmas and New Year period. Then it will be on to my 2010 training plan!!
What about the Lawbreaker on the 27th instead?
